What is Morpheus8?
Morpheus8 is a revolutionary micro-needling treatment, which uses fractional radiofrequency (RF) to contour and lift the skin. It is suitable for use across the face, neck, chest and the backs of the hands: effectively reducing the appearance of puffy eyelids, loose skin, swollen eyebags, nasolabial folds, jowls and double chins.
By stimulating collagen production, it also improves rough skin texture, fine lines, scarring and superficial capillaries. Morpheus8 is suitable for all skin tones while avoiding the downtime and cost of surgical alternatives.
What Happens During the Treatment?
The procedure is carried out in an outpatient setting, under topical or intumescent anaesthetic. Working within a small grid marked on the skin, a portable hand-held device delivers radiofrequency via micro-needles deep into the dermis, where collagen and elastin production is stimulated.
The procedure typically takes less than an hour, and a course of 1-5 treatments is recommended, 3-6 weeks apart. Less downtime compared to surgical alternatives, long-lasting results that last up to 2-5 years, and unrivalled expertise performed by a team trained by Dr Sabrina.

- Surgical blepharoplasty is excellent for correcting moderate to severe loose eyelid skin and puffy eyelids. It is still the "gold standard", with only a few weeks downtime and impressive results lasting more than 10 years. Morpheus8 is a new innovative way of tightening loose skin and acts as an impressive alternative to surgery, allowing a gentle correction of moderate loose skin. For eyelid lifts, 3-4 sessions performed every 3-6 weeks may be required, making it the perfect solution for people who want a gradual, scarless correction.
- Topical anaesthetic is applied to cleansed skin and left to work for 20-30 minutes, although most patients may still feel some heat and discomfort during the treatment. At the end of the session, there will be some redness and swelling in the treated area which may be sore.
- Morpheus8 is done as an outpatient treatment, so you can go home right after the procedure. Following treatment the eyelids might swell temporarily, but they settle within 48-72 hours. You may need to use oral anti-inflammatory medication. If redness occurs, it can take from 4-21 days to disappear. It is important not to scratch, pick or rub the area treated as a pinkish skin discolouration or hypo/hyperpigmentation could persist. You will be required to use a specialised serum rich in growth factors twice a day for 4 weeks to accelerate the healing process. SPF50 must also be applied twice a day on the treated area to protect the skin.
- You should not have this treatment if you have a pacemaker, internal defibrillator or any electronic implant such as a glucose monitor, a permanent implant in the treated area, such as metal plates and screws, silicone implants or an injected chemical substance. It is not suitable for those with a history of diseases stimulated by heat, such as recurrent Herpes Simplex in the treated area, any active conditions such as sores, psoriasis, eczema, rashes or recently / excessively tanned skin. If you have had filler in the last 6 months, anti-wrinkle injections in the last 2 weeks or are pregnant, you should avoid this treatment.
