What are Polynucleotides or Mesotherapy?
Whilst hyaluronic acid fillers are a standard method of treating the under-eye hollows, Polynucleotides are shortened DNA fractions, whilst mesotherapy are injections that contain numerous nutrients and enzymes. Both encourage regenerative changes on a cellular level and are a newer alternative to treating loose, wrinkly skin and dark circles. The benefits include increased cell turnover, improved skin elasticity, reduced skin hyperpigmentation, reduced infraorbital hollows due to thin skin, improved fine lines, and boosted hyaluronic acid production to give a brighter under-eye area.
How Does the Procedure Work?
Dr Sabrina will often use a numbing cream which is applied for 15 minutes prior to the procedure. The whole procedure takes around 15 minutes, and a fine needle is used to perform the treatment. Polynucleotides (PDRNs) work by signalling to particular cells in the body to change their behaviour and generate collagen, hyaluronic acid and fat. These result in a tighter, brighter, more lifted appearance naturally, but it takes time and a course of treatments.
