How Does Biostimulation Filler Procedure Work?
Important Notes:
- Results vary between individuals.
- Any filler treatment carries potential risks, including swelling, tenderness, bruising, or delayed inflammatory reaction.
- Patients are advised to undergo consultation and suitability assessment before treatment.
Biostimulation contains smooth polycaprolactone (PCL) microspheres suspended in a carboxymethylcellulose (CMC) gel carrier. The gel provides immediate volumisation, while the microspheres act as a biostimulant, encouraging natural collagen synthesis over several months.
After applying a local anaesthetic, Dr Sabrina Shah-Desai or a qualified member of her team administers precise injections into the targeted areas to restore contour and balance.
This procedure is performed in a sterile medical setting and typically lasts about 30 minutes.
Patients are reviewed post-procedure to assess collagen response and ensure safe outcomes.
