What is AccuTite™?
AccuTite™ is a revolutionary, minimally-invasive treatment that uses bipolar radiofrequency assisted lipolysis (RFAL) to reduce facial fat and tighten the skin. An FDA-approved technology from Inmode, this non-surgical procedure is well-suited to smaller areas – such as the brow area and upper and lower lids – due to the small cannula, which allows Dr Sabrina to contour the face with utmost precision. It is suitable for all skin types and colours, and produces excellent skin-tightening results – without the cost, downtime or associated risks of surgery.
What causes sagging brows?
With time, the soft tissues of the brow become lax – as a result of age, sun exposure or simply genetics. Meanwhile, the bony scaffolding of the brow starts to weaken, resulting in a lack of structural support for the skin – leading to sagging brows or “brow ptosis”. If left untreated, this can manifest in a tired or angry appearance; and can eventually cause visual impairment if the tissues drop below the brow bone. Dr Sabrina is highly regarded for her brow lifting techniques such as AccuTite™ and her surgical Brow Lift, which work to correct the appearance of drooping or sagging brows.
How does the procedure work?
AccuTite™ involves a small metal cannula being inserted under the skin, where it delivers heat energy to the treatment area. This heat energy causes the contraction of fat while stimulating the production of collagen and elastin to lift and tighten the skin. The treatment takes between 1-2 hours, depending on the size of the area to be treated, and is carried out under local intumescent anaesthetic. During the treatment you can talk and listen to music. Following treatment, a compression bandage or dressing will be applied. You will also be given aftercare instructions and a date will be set for a follow-up. We recommend that you either have somebody collect you from the clinic, or that you take a taxi home afterwards.

Commonly Asked Questions about AccuTite™
How does AccuTite™ compare to a surgical blepharoplasty or brow lift?
A Surgical Blepharoplasty or Brow Lift are effective for treating moderate to severe loose eyelid skin, puffy eyelids and sagging eyebrows. The results can last up to 10 years; however, both procedures require a few weeks of downtime and the cost of the procedures is higher. AccuTite™ is therefore an impressive alternative to surgery, allowing a gentle correction of loose skin, eyes bags and drooping brows. It is perfect for people who want a gradual, scar-less correction, with minimal cost and downtime – while the tightening effects can last for up to 5 years.
What are the advantages of AccuTite™?
AccuTite™ is an outpatient procedure, performed in your doctor’s office under local anaesthesia – so you will be able to return home after treatment. The RFAL technology penetrates deeper than other RF and ultrasound energy treatments, while also stimulating collagen production over 3-6 months; however, you should also see some tightening within the first week (sometimes even immediately). While AccuTite™ does require some small incisions, no stitches are needed, and there are usually no visible scars following the procedure.
Is AccuTite™ safe?
AccuTite™ offers a safe and effective solution to lift and tighten loose skin while also reducing smaller areas of unwanted fat; for example, the brow area and upper and lower lids. The FDA-approved device utilises radiofrequency energy, which is safer than other current radiofrequency technology as it continuously monitors the treatment to ensure an accurate temperature and energy control – for consistently excellent results.
What side effects can I expect?
Following AccuTite™ you can expect swelling and bruising for up to 2 weeks after the procedure. As with any heating device, there is a risk of skin burns, discoloration or nerve bruising that may result in muscle weakness around the mouth for 3 to 6 months (though this is rare). Asymmetry and contour irregularities may also occur, and can require further treatment.
How long can I expect the results of AccuTite™ to last?
AccuTite™ causes a noticeable tightening effect, which is FDA-approved to last for one year; however, some patients and doctors claim results lasting up to 5 years. In comparison, surgical alternatives offer longevity of 8 to 10 years, and carry a higher risk of scarring, downtime and cost.
What is the recovery time with AccuTite™?
AccuTite™ is performed in an outpatient setting, so you can go home straight after your procedure. Following AccuTite™ treatment, dressings are placed on the eyelids for 24 hours to reduce swelling (swelling of the eyelids, redness and bruising usually settles within 1-2 weeks) most patients are able to return to social activities in 2 weeks. Patients may also experience soreness, tenderness and numbness for several weeks after treatment; however, these are not permanent and resolve in time. Swelling can also be improved by the use of oral anti-inflammatory tablets.
Does AccuTite™ hurt?
AccuTite™ is carried out under local intumescent anaesthetic. This requires injections of local anaesthetic to numb the area, which may sting temporarily, while some patients feel occasional heat and discomfort. At the end of the treatment, there will be some redness and minor swelling in the treated area, which may be sore and numb for several weeks.
Am I suitable for AccuTite™?
AccuTite™ is suitable for all skin types and colours; however, it is not advised for patients who are pregnant, those who have a pacemaker or internal defibrillator, those with an electronic implant, a permanent implant in the treatment area (such as metal plates and screws), silicone implants or an injected chemical substance. Those with a history of diseases stimulated by heat (such as recurrent Herpes Simplex), or any active condition in the treatment area (such as sores, psoriasis, eczema and rashes) are not advised to have this treatment.
