How Does Morpheus8
Procedure Work?
The procedure is carried out in an outpatient setting & involves the use of topical or local anaesthesia. Using a hand-held device that can be easily carried, radiofrequency is delivered through microneedles to the dermis within a small grid marked on the skin to stimulate the production of collagen and elastin. Usually, the procedure lasts less than 60 minutes, and a series of 1–5 treatments is advised, with intervals of 3-6 weeks between each.
What happens during the treatment?
The procedure is carried out in an outpatient setting, under topical or intumescent anaesthetic. Working within a small grid marked on the skin, a portable hand-held device delivers radiofrequency via micro-needles deep into the dermis, where collagen and elastin production is stimulated. The procedure typically takes less than an hour. and a course of 1-5 treatments is recommended, 3-6 weeks apart.

Who should not have Morpheus8?
It is not a good idea to get Morpheus8 treatment if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have had skin cancer or keloid scarring, or have a pacemaker/defibrillator. Having active acne, eczema, or rosacea could make Morpheus8 treatments more complicated. Also, you shouldn’t get a Morpheus8 treatment while taking Accutane or for 6 months after stopping it.
What is the best age for Morpheus8?
Morpheus8 is great for people who are busy and want to look younger but don’t have a lot of time. Morpheus8 is most suited for people in their 30s, 40s, and 50s who have mild to moderate skin problems, with good thick subcutaneous fat.

What’s the difference between surgical blepharoplasty and Morpheus8 malar bag tightening?
Surgical blepharoplasty is great for fixing loose eyelid skin and puffy eyelids that are more severe. It’s considered the best option, with only a few weeks of recovery time and long-lasting results of over 10 years. Morpheus8 is a new way to tighten loose skin and serves as an excellent alternative to surgery. It gently corrects moderately loose skin without the need for surgery. For malar bags, you might need 3-4 sessions every 4-6 weeks. This makes it a good choice for those who want a gradual and scar-free correction.
Is Morpheus8 painful?
Before the treatment, a numbing cream is applied to clean the skin and left on for 20-30 minutes. However, some patients might still feel a bit of heat and discomfort during the treatment. After the session, there could be some redness and swelling in the treated area, which might feel a bit sore.
How long does it take to recover from morpheus8 treatment?
Morpheus8 is an outpatient treatment, so you can go home right after the procedure. Your eyelids might swell temporarily after the treatment, but this usually goes away within 48-72 hours. You might be advised to take oral anti-inflammatory medication. Redness from the treatment may last anywhere from 4 to 21 days. It’s important not to scratch, pick, or rub the treated area, as this can cause pinkish skin discolouration or hypo/hyperpigmentation. You’ll need to use a special serum rich in growth factors twice a day for 4 weeks to help the healing process. Also, make sure to apply SPF50 twice a day to protect the treated area.
