What is an extended Blepharoplasty and Mid Facelift?
An Lower lid blepharoplasty that is combined with a Lateral SOOF Mid facelift is a minimally invasive, surgical treatment. Patients with severe, ongoing malar mounds and festoons that are recurrent or chronic usually choose this procedure. This procedure has the benefit of simultaneously treating malar bags and eye bags. The goal of a midface lift treatment is to improve the alignment between the eyelid and cheek while also realigning the prominent appearance and position of the cheekbones. In order to give the patient more fullness around the eyes and cheeks and to help them look younger, more rested, and more refreshed, the midface lift can help raise the cheek fat pad.

How Does Mid Facelift
Procedure Work?
There are various approaches to performing the midface lift procedure, involving different incision areas. However, the goal of every approach is to mobilise the malar fat pad and midface tissues to restore symmetry and contour. A midface lift can be carried out alone or in conjunction with other procedures for rejuvenation, such as blepharoplasty or brow lifting. The same lower eyelid incision used for a transcutaneous lower eyelid blepharoplasty can also be used for a mid facelift. The procedure is normally performed under general or twilight anaesthesia. The surgery takes between 1 and 2 hours, based on the patient and the complexity of the procedure. There is a longer downtime of 2 to 12 weeks, and there will also be a small scar at the outer corner of the eye.
