Endolift® represents a cutting-edge, non-invasive option for a traditional facelift, employing laser energy to firm the skin and sculpt facial fat with minimal recovery time. Endolift laser specialises in treating malar bags by delivering laser energy beneath the skin and targeting the fat compartment. Developed by Eufoton, this technology has been in use in Italy for over ten years. It allows Dr. Sabrina to focus on smaller areas such as festoons, eye bags, and the lower face and neck, producing visible results without the expense, recovery time, or associated risks of surgery. This procedure is safe, effective, & suitable for all skin types and colours and is carried out under local anaesthesia.

How Does Endolift®
Procedure Work?
Endolift® therapy uses a 1470nm laser and operates using single-use micro-optical fibres, which are as thin as hair and easily inserted under the skin into the superficial hypodermis. The laser energy targets explicitly water and fat, effectively liquefying the fat while stimulating collagen production. This leads to immediate skin retraction and reduces skin laxity. Usually, only one treatment is recommended, which takes 1 to 2 hours and is performed under local anaesthesia. The full results of Endolift® take 3 to 6 months to become fully evident, although this timeline can vary by patient, with some individuals seeing visible results sooner. After the Endolift® treatment, you will receive aftercare instructions, and an appointment will be scheduled for your initial review between 4 to 6 weeks. We suggest that you arrange for someone to pick you up from the clinic.

Patient Questions About Endolift®
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the recovery and downtime for Endolift®?
After the Endolift® procedure, you can go home immediately as it is performed in an outpatient setting. There’s no need for compression bandages or dressings. Following the treatment, you may experience redness and bruising, which typically settles within 1 to 2 weeks. Most patients can resume social activities within 1 to 2 weeks. After the treatment, you may also feel soreness, tenderness, and numbness for several weeks, but these are not permanent and will resolve in time. In rare cases of lower-face treatment, the motor nerve may be temporarily affected, which may require oral anti-inflammatory tablets.
What side effects can I expect after Endolift® treatment?
After undergoing Endolift®, you may experience swelling and bruising for up to approximately 1 week after the procedure. Like with any heating device, there is a risk of skin burns, discolouration, or nerve bruising that may result in muscle weakness around the mouth for 3 to 6 months, although this is rare. Additionally, asymmetry and contour irregularities may occur, potentially requiring further treatment.
Is Endolift® a safe procedure?
Endolift is a type of laser treatment that is considered safe and works well for reducing eye bags, wrinkles, & loose skin on the face, neck, and body. It doesn’t hurt, there’s no bleeding, and no stitches are needed. During the procedure, a very thin fibre-optic wire is used to send laser energy under the skin, which makes the skin tighter and encourages collagen production. This can help decrease the look of eye bags and wrinkles and make the skin more elastic.
What are the benefits of Endolift®?
Endolift® is a simple procedure that can be done in your doctor’s office with local anaesthesia, and you can go home afterwards. The laser technology stimulates collagen production over 3-6 months, but you may also notice some tightening within the first week, sometimes even right away. Since Endolift® doesn’t require stitches, there are usually no visible scars after the procedure.
Does Endolift® cause pain?
Endolift® involves injections of local anaesthesia to numb the area, which might cause temporary stinging, and some patients might feel occasional heat and discomfort. After the treatment, you might experience some redness and minor swelling in the treated area, which could feel sore and numb for several weeks.
Am I a suitable candidate for Endolift®?
Endolift® is suitable for all skin types and colours, but it’s not recommended for pregnant patients, those with a pacemaker, internal defibrillator, electronic implant, or permanent implant in the treatment area (like metal plates and screws), silicone implants, or injected chemical substances. It’s also not advised for those with a history of heat-stimulated diseases (such as recurrent Herpes simplex) or any active condition in the treatment area (like sores, psoriasis, eczema, and rashes).
What are the risks associated with Endolift® treatment?
Although Endolift is generally safe, it’s important to know that all treatments can have side effects. Some possible side effects of Endolift may include:
- Swelling
- Bruising
- Local Infection
- Redness
- Burns
- Peripheral Neuropathies
Will Endolift results last forever?
Endolift results typically last 2-3 years. However, as you age, your skin may still loosen over time. Living a healthy lifestyle by eating well, exercising regularly, and avoiding alcohol and smoking can help slow down ageing after the treatment.
Is there any downtime?
There is minimal downtime with Endolift. Patients can resume their daily activities on the same day.
How long do the results of Endolift® last compared to surgical facelifts?
The tightening effects of Endolift® can last for 2 to 3 years, with some patients and doctors reporting results lasting up to 5 years, compared to the 8 to 10 years of longevity from surgical facelift results.
