Sun damaged skin & Ellansé Biostimulation– by Leading Oculoplastic Surgeon, Dr Sabrina Shah-Desai, in London

What is Ellansé?

Ellansé is a collagen-stimulating filler that naturally regenerates volume lost due to the ageing process, helping restore shape to the face. The effects are long-lasting, as once Ellansé fillers have been reabsorbed by the body, you may continue to see the benefits of the treatment due to production of collagen. Note this filler should not be injected in the lips or peri-orbital area.

How does Ellansé work?

After applying a topical anaesthetic, Dr Sabrina or her team gently and naturally supports localised volume loss in the tissue by strategically injecting Ellansé into the area of concern. This plumps and lifts the tissue, resulting in an immediate more refreshed appearance. Filler also stimulates collagen production and hydrates the skin, so patients will notice the added benefit of improved overall skin quality after 3 months. The whole procedure takes around 30 minutes.

  • Instant result – improvement can be seen immediately and final results take 3 months
  • No downtime – can return to work right away
  • Unrivalled expertise – performed by leading oculoplastic surgeon and her trained team

Patient Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

When will I see results?

Results are completely natural-looking and can be seen immediately after the treatment, but take 3 months to see the final result.

What is the downtime?

Downtime is minimal. As with any aesthetic treatment, you may experience some mild, localized swelling, bruising, itching or tenderness but it usually goes away very quickly. Applying ice to the area can speed up recovery.

How long do the effects last?

The gradual stimulation of your own collagen production means effects can last between 18-24 months.

Is Ellansé safe?

Yes, it’s completely safe. You will not require a skin test, as it is bio-compatible, which means the product will be fully resorbed by your body over time.
