Non-surgical facial contouring – for treating sunken cheeks, weak chins, sagging jawlines, & deep marionette/nasolabial folds
Most patients often notice deep nose to mouth lines and jowls caused by lost volume in the face as we age. They also notice their face appears to be sagging and being pulled down by gravity. What is often actually happening is the face is losing volume in key areas which can be effectively replaced with filler.
In a non-surgical facelift, Dr Shah-Desai and her team strategically place filler at anatomical points, to gently and naturally supports the face by addressing localised volume loss.
This plumps, volumises and lifts key areas of the face giving you a younger, refreshed look, reducing the appearance of wrinkles and removing a gaunt and sagging appearance. Since filler stimulates collagen production and hydrates the skin, patients will also notice improved overall skin quality.

Patient Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
Non-surgical facial contouring vs surgical facelifts
If you primarily have facial volume loss, a non-surgical facelift is likely to be able to deliver fantastic results. However, if you have skin laxity issues (stretched and sagging skin) energy based treatments (Morpheus8, Sofwave, endolift & Tixel) prior to fillers or a surgical facelift may be a better option.
Dr Shah-Desai & her team identify whether skin laxity or volume loss is the primary cause of your facial ageing. This assessment will then tell you whether a surgical or non-surgical facelift is the best option for you.
Is a non-surgical facelift painful?
Most patients find that non-surgical facelifts do not hurt. We apply topical anaesthetic on your face before the injections, and the fillers include an anaesthetic too to help you feel more comfortable. The procedure takes around 30 minutes and most patients find this time goes extremely quickly.
How long does a non-surgical facial contouring last?
The effects tend to last from 12-18 months depending on your physiology and lifestyle.
What are the side effects and risks?
Bruises, lumps and swelling can occur but these tend to disappear within 3-7 days. You can return to work straight away after the procedure and are advised to avoid vigorous physical activity for 48 hours after the treatment.
You shouldn’t have this treatment if…
- Have a known allergy to the product or lidocaine
- Have an active infection at site of injection
- Have alcohol in your system: the injections are more likely to give you bruises
- Are pregnant
- Are breastfeeding
