When you leave our clinic, the skin is slightly pink, but make up can be applied right away.
The skin then peels after a few days, so early results can be seen within a few days after the treatment. Occasionally some people have a thin micro-crust on the skin that can take a week to fake off, however this can be covered with make up.
The best results are seen after a course of 3-6 treatments, every 3-4 weeks

Those who undergo the most aggressive treatments are back in make-up in 4-7 days after UltraClear laser treatment – compared to 7-14 days with CO2 laser. Additionally, the revolutionary technology of the UltraClear laser provides the desired result with much less heat and discomfort.

Results can be seen 4-5 days after just 1 treatment, however dependent on the type of pigment, scars and lines it may require additional treatments. We generally recommend a course of two treatments 2 months apart.

For the first 1-3 days you will experience redness, heat and swelling, followed by flaking of the skin. Pinpoint bleeding & oozing can often occur in this period.
Downtime can be expected to last 4-7 days, depending on individual patient healing. The downtime is proportionate to the degree and type of laser depth and density planned to achieve your specific goal. We supply you with an after care

3D MIRACL is 30 minute a micro-laser peel suitable for all skin types (yes even the darker skins) as the laser does not heat the skin significantly. Hence generally no topical numbing is required.

As it treats the most superficial layers of the skin, it is great for

• Fine lines and wrinkles
• Mild sun damage and uneven skin colour
• Acne scarring

Both use this new wavelength of fractional laser that has been specifically developed to be far more comfortable for the patient, as well as safe for all skin tones as it reduces unwanted thermal damage. The settings/ depth of penetration of the LASER are determined based on the patient’s skin quality.

As these are aggressive laser treatments, we prefer to ensure that you do not suffer with Post inflammatory hyperpigmentation, which can occur in the darker skin types. We recommend a course of pigment inhibiting topical skin care at least 2-4 weeks prior to and for 3 weeks post treatment. To minimise discomfort, topical numbing cream is applied to the skin for approximately 45 minutes prior to the treatment. Immediately after the treatment, the skin feels hot & can retain this heat for the first 4-8 hours, which can give some discomfort.

This is dependent on each individual. You will notice an improvement in your skin from 4-5 days after. For an invasive treatment the results can last for 1-5 years. However, since our skin continues to age and new wrinkles and spots may appear due to sun damage and daily life, additional treatments may be needed to maintain healthier, fresher and younger looking skin.
